The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Magellan Jets plays a critical role in converting and following up on top of the sales funnel activity by prospecting and qualifying leads. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, This individual will work closely with the Aviation Advisor Team to generate high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and help convert them into Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs), ultimately driving revenue growth.  

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead Qualification: Follow up on inbound leads to quickly qualify and unqualify marketing generated leads, nurture, and work through existing database for new clients through outbound efforts, including calls, texts, emails, and social media outreach.  
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team: Work closely with Aviation Advisors to qualify leads and ensure smooth handoff for further engagement and closing. 
  • Maintain Database: Diligently track all prospecting activities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for all interactions. 
  • Reporting: Provide weekly reports on prospecting activities and pipeline health. 
  • Follow-up & Cadence: Execute timely and consistent follow-ups via email, texts, and phone calls based on the defined cadence to maximize conversion opportunities. 
  • In-Office presence: Available to work from our Quincy MA office, Monday-Thursday and remote on Friday. 

 

Goals & Key Performance Indicators:

  • SQL Generation: Achieve 30+ Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) per month. 
  • 8 scheduled membership meetings per month, resulting in 50% conversion into Jet Card/Membership Opportunities. 
  • Call Volume: Maintain 50+ outbound calls per day / 1,000 calls per month. 
  • Conversations: Engage in 5-10 substantive prospect conversations daily. 
  • Top-of-Funnel Activity: Drive pipeline activity and contribute to an annual goal of 360 SQLs, leading to 75 new revenue-generating accounts. 
  • Conversion Rates: Attain a 50% conversion rate from SQL to Sales Qualified Opportunity (SQO).

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in a sales or customer-facing role (experience in aviation or luxury services is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems preferred.
  • Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
