POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Distribution & Partnership Development will lead Magellan Jets’ partnership strategy to drive new client acquisition, client engagement and brand awareness through national and regional partnerships. This results-driven leader will define the partnership strategy and criteria, source new partners, shape and negotiate complex deal structures, and oversee the economics and performance of each partnership. This individual will be responsible for cultivating, managing and expanding a diverse portfolio of partners that align to Magellan Jets’ brand while ensuring that each relationship delivers measurable growth and brand differentiation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Define, build, and continually refine Magellan Jets’ national and regional partnership strategy, including target verticals and qualification criteria.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of partners who can deliver qualified leads and referrals through their day-to-day business.
  • Proactively source, evaluate, and prioritize partnership opportunities that drive incremental customer acquisition, client retention & revenue expansion, and increased brand awareness and perception.
  • Shape, negotiate, and close partnership agreements that align with Magellan Jets’ brand, growth goals, and financial objectives.
  • Determine the economic structure of each partnership, ensuring deals are structured for mutual benefit and long-term sustainability.
  • Partner with Finance to set budgets, commission structures, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the performance and ROI of each partnership, ensuring the economics deliver on forecasted expectations.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for all aspects of each partnership – internally liaising with marketing to ensure defined partnership deliverables are maximized as well as sales to ensure new client acquisition opportunities are effectively converted.
  • Own defined areas of partnership execution to help support marketing and sales responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing partnerships.
  • Deliver executive-level updates on pipeline, budget, and performance against forecasted goals.
  • Develop differentiated partnership concepts that creatively align Magellan Jets’ services with the partner’s audience and business model.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure each partnership is effectively integrated into marketing and activation plans.
  • Represent Magellan Jets at partner meetings and activations to strengthen relationships and drive visibility.
  • Think creatively and critically about how, where it makes sense, to aggregate partnerships together to achieve a common goal across partnerships while reducing activation costs
  • Develop clear OKRs and KPIs for partnership performance, ensuring accountability.
  • Provide regular performance reporting to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing & Operations to align partnership activations with broader business goals.
  • Partner closely with Finance to monitor partnership economics and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for high-value partners, ensuring an exceptional experience throughout the relationship lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all partnerships are properly introduced and trained across internal functions to ensure a clear understanding and expectation of each partnership.

COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge:

  • 7–9 years of relevant experience in partnerships, strategic alliances, business development, or sales, ideally in luxury or high-net-worth customer markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (though not explicitly required in the description).
  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing opportunities, negotiating agreements, and managing partnership performance to drive measurable results.
  • Deep understanding of partnership development, including pipeline creation, qualification criteria, and lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of deal structuring, partnership economics, and partner marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with luxury services, hospitality, concierge services, private aviation, or other high-net-worth/UHNWI ecosystems (preferred).
  • Understanding of brand alignment, audience segmentation, and co-marketing principles.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and ROI measurement as it relates to partnerships.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and close complex, high-value partnership deals.
  • Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and budget management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior executives and external partners.
  • Highly organized with strong project management and relationship-building abilities.

  • Creative and strategic thinker able to identify unique opportunities and develop mutually beneficial partnership structures.
  • Data-driven with the ability to measure, analyze, and optimize partnership performance and ROI.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance teams.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have any management responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Primarily office-based, with 1 remote/ work from home day each week.
  • Conditions: General office environment with moderate noise levels. Occasional travel to aircraft or client locations may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Occasional walking/ movement between work areas (e.g., meetings, restrooms)
  • Repetitive Hand and Wrist Movements via frequent typing and use of a mouse.
  • Light lifting of office supplies, documents, or equipment (up to 20 lbs).
  • Screen Use: Prolonged use of a computer screen.

TRAVEL:

May require occasional overnight travel for partnership meetings and event activations.

This Senior Marketing Manager position provides a competitive annual base salary of $120,000, complemented by a performance-based bonus. Total compensation is aligned with the impact of your strategic marketing initiatives, campaign effectiveness, and contribution to broader organizational goals. Final compensation factors include experience and location, and the role is eligible for Magellan Jets’ full benefits package.
